FAQs

It’s my Childs first dance class, what is the appropriate attire for them to wear?

At The Next Level Dance Studios, we do have a studio uniform available for order, which can be purchased at any dance class or whenever it suits you and we do encourage every student to purchase. However, we completely understand that with the current cost of living, it’s not always easy to spend $50.00 on a uniform—and that’s okay!

Our team appreciates and encourages dancers to wear whatever they feel comfortable in. We recommend:
Leggings, shorts or bike shorts
A comfortable shirt or tank top

To ensure safety and ease of movement, we kindly ask that dancers avoid wearing:
Denim (jeans, shorts, skirts, etc.)
Long-sleeve shirts
Skirts without shorts underneath

Our priority is that every dancer feels confident, comfortable, and ready to move! If you have any further questions about attire, feel free to ask our team.

Can my child wear socks on the dance floor?

For the safety and development of our dancers, socks are not permitted on the dance floor as they can be a slipping hazard and increase the risk of injury. Additionally, wearing socks on stage can appear unprofessional, and allowing them in recreational classes may create a habit that makes it difficult for dancers to transition to performing without them.

Instead, we encourage investing in a good pair of dance shoes for both safety and proper technique. Recommended alternatives include:
Jazz shoes
Ballet shoes (not pointe shoes)
Toe socks

These options provide grip, support, and flexibility, ensuring dancers can move confidently in both class and performances. If you need help choosing the right footwear, feel free to ask our team for recommendations!

Do you have uniform? If so, where are they made?

Yes! The Next Level Dance Studios has a studio uniform available for purchase. Our uniforms are printed on demand through a professional clothing printing site, ensuring high-quality and durable dancewear. Our shirts are specifically designed for physical activity and are printed through Vistaprint to provide comfort and flexibility for all dancers.

💡 Fun Fact: Did you know that all of our signage and promotional products—from banners to business cards—are also purchased through Vistaprint? We trust them to provide quality products that help represent our studio in the best way possible!

If you’d like to order a uniform, you can do so at any dance class or whenever it suits you. If you have any questions about sizing or availability, feel free to ask our team!

What If My Child Isn’t Enjoying Dance?

That’s completely okay! We understand that dance isn’t for everyone, and sometimes interests change—that’s part of growing and exploring new things.

If your child is feeling unsure about dance, we encourage open communication. Whether it’s a small concern or a bigger issue, we appreciate and welcome you to come and speak with our friendly staff. You and our dancers always come first, and we want to ensure that The Next Level Dance Studios remains a safe, supportive, and enjoyable space for everyone.

If there’s anything we can do to help make your child’s experience more enjoyable, please don’t hesitate to reach out—we’re here to help!

Can I Stay and Watch My Child’s Class?

If your child is participating in Baby Ballet, we do allow parents to stay and watch. However, if both you and your child feel comfortable with you leaving, that is completely fine—we encourage you to do whatever works best for you and your little one!

For classes J-Troupe and above, we unfortunately do not allow viewers. This is to ensure that our students can remain fully focused throughout their session without distractions.

If you’d like to stay nearby, the RSL next door is happy to welcome parents for a coffee while you wait!

Thank you for understanding and helping us create the best learning environment for our dancers.

Do You Have a Loyalty Program?

Yes, we do! At The Next Level Dance Studios, we love rewarding our dedicated dancers, which is why we offer a FREE loyalty program for anyone who pays weekly for their classes.

How It Works:
✔️ If you attend 10 weeks in a row, your 10th session is completely FREE!
✔️ No sign-ups or extra steps—if you’re paying weekly, you’re automatically included!
✔️ Just pick up a loyalty card next time you’re in the studio and make sure a staff member stamps it each week!

We appreciate your commitment to dance and want to make sure you’re getting something in return. This is our way of saying thank you for being a part of The Next Level family!
